The Light Keeper

A light keeper holds vigil on the thresholds between worlds - civilisation and wildness, land and sea, dark and light, life and death. 

This dramatic show piece for a rich baritone voice tells the story of a light keeper alone in the world as the piano narrates the changing ocean around him.
The Light Keeper is a virtuosic sing, with a dark ending that stills the room. It would fit perfectly in a recital alongside Songs Of Travel and Sea Fever.
